Meet Rowena
Rowena Mills
The founder and managing director of Avanzar Consulting, I’m married and the proud mother of two children. Family connections play an important role in defining my consulting company values and objectives.
I have been working in the corporate sector for over 20 years across a variety of organization change, process transformation and program management services. I also provides one-on-one coaching and mentoring services to individual clients or within the organisation environment. To support these services, I have a tertiary qualification in business and a Diploma education in coaching, mentoring and facilitation. I am also an International Coaching Federation (ICF) member and hold ACC accreditation, that includes member support. I am also accredited in using the Integrative enneagram solutions to accelerate and enhance coaching services.
My experience in the corporate sector crosses a broad range of industries, including Not-For-Profits, Mining, Utilities, Finance, Retail, Wholesale and Manufacturing. Over this time, I have developed significant expertise in implementing major business process change using project and change management principles, commercial and contract development and management, business improvement and service programs. I use fundamental coaching and consulting skills to overcome business and project hurdles in the provision of services to entities.
Group facilitation services are also provided based on fundamental coaching principles.
Rowena is great listener, non judgemental, and has a really supportive way of encouraging me to talk about the changes I’d like to make in my life.
Her coaching has helped me to feel confident in my strengths and learn to lean into them, and also to recognise the triggers that stress me into reacting in a way that becomes a barrier to my success. She also gave practical tips to manage those stressors in work setting and at home.
I’ve learned how much I can influence outcomes by being more aware of my own behaviours.
